Sorry guys, i know that i have been rarely updating my blog lately... this is due to the fact that i just dont have time for blogging anymore...  study life in london is hectic... im trying to balance out my study, work and social (play) life since i am basically literally busy everyday...

anyway here is an update...
I'm working in an event management company as a part timer. I am working as an assistant VIP steward and at the same time a steward supervisor to junior stewards. Next week i'll be having another job interview with another event management company that way i can have 2 part time jobs. I normally work on fridays to sundays... mondays to wednesdays i have class and thursdays is the only day i rest (but it usually goes to project meetings and assignments)...

London is great to be honest, expensive but great.... Of course i'm not enjoying the comfortable life like what i have in Rome.. where i could drink all the delicious wines, eat lots of fresh and juicy fruits, good cheese, pastas, pizzas, deserts etc... but london is no different from Rome... except that if u want something better, u've got to pay more...
Ppl here are a lot snobbier too.. less friendly compared to rome... just imagine that i could enter a bar / pub in rome and talk to anyone immediatly without any prob.. here in london it is slightly different.. the moment you enter a pub, u'll feel this strange atmosphere that makes you feel like ....ermmm am i in the right place? also to fully enjoy pub experiences in london you need to go with ppl you know...

saving the best for last.... I'm single again :)... what happened? i dont want to talk about it.. the important thing is that i'm single and can relax now...

London so far... 10/02/2009

It has already been 2 weeks since i arrived London... it has been fun so far and also frustrating.. frustrating bcos i have to deal with the 5pm tube crowded traffic almost everyday and also i was robbed (bye bye laptop).... anyway... i'm ok here. settling down well but misses Rome a lot because people there are a lot friendlier and not snobby like Londoners....

I've lost my laptop... it was stolen... how did it happened? well i was robbed to be more exact... currently at friend's place updating this long lost blog of mine.. anyway, i wouldnt want to go into how i was robbed... important thing is that i'm not injured... anyway i'll miss my 3yr old laptop.. it was a great servant to me... a loyal one too...

I've heard many Europeans saying that London is like America... its a land of opportunity...
whether you agree with it or not it is up to you but to me it is.... it is a good opportunity for me to develop my career there (of course i have to start from zero which everyone starts from here unless you are filthy rich and inherited an uncountable amount of money from someone or won a lottery overnight).

17th of September 2009 i'll begin my journey in a new country (England)... though i've already lived in England for 2 months (Sussex region) this year for my Internship, this time it will not be in Sussex anymore but mighty well-known London. I'll be there for a 3months studies course plus an 8 months internship (which i've yet to find an internship company).

My goals for London are:
1) Get as much contacts as i can which i can find it useful for my future dealings
2) Get good recommendations and references from my soon-to-be employers
3) Build my my experience on my field, sports-events management.... would like to work for a big company this time who has a larger scale in event organization
and last but not least...
4) Have as much fun as i can...

Anyway, wish me luck!

Love y'all,
Mango

with london being just round the corner.. im still "homeless" there... till now i cant find any place... looks like i'd need to stay in a hostel for a week there whilst searching for a place to settledown... since i'm in italy... 90% of them wants a so called security deposit asking me to wire the money to western union... WAIT!! WESTERN UNION??? NO WAY!!! I aint falling for that kind of scam!!! Anyway, wish me luck!!
